Reciprocal Links is the connection between two sites (websites or blogs) based on an agreement to link to each other or exchange links. The basic concept or another word of reciprocal link is - you link my site, then I’ll link back to yours and both of us get increase in traffic. Usually this is done by each sites to having a hyperlink that leads online visitors to click the other site.
Reciprocal linking is often used by new or small sites as an inexpensive way to increase site traffic and link popularity. Anyway, this is a time consuming process to locate quality websites with a similar topic as yours. However, reciprocal links exchange is considered the most effective way to increase link popularity. The related terms is deep linking, inbound link, link popularity, outbound link, link swaps, link exchanges and link partners. The reciprocal link strategy is one of the SEO offpage or onsite optimization.
