What is Entrecard | Definition?

Entrecard is a blogger community “embed” with free advertising network. Another word that you can create a “business card” for your own blog which you use to advertise on other blogs. The good news: It’s free of charge and uses Entrecard Credits (EC) as a currency which you can earn through a variety of activities including dropping other Entrecard(s).
Basically, you just need to insert a little 125×125 squares widget on your blog in html code. The Entrecard should be grabbing other attention or at least meaningful to encourage other bloggers to click on your card.
The Entrecard widget has an advertisement of another Entrecard member’s site and a base button that other Entrecard members click to let you know they visited your site. This is called “dropping”. For every drop you did, you get EC’s or known as Entrecard Credit or money.
With the Entrecard money you can buy ads space on other bloggers’s sites. You also get more EC’s when others “buy” an ads on your site via the widget. For just a little time and clicking you can get some good ads exposure and traffic. If you like, you can probably “drop” up to 300 times per day. So the goal is to drop all 300 in one day. The more you drop the more others drop on you, the more drops on you the more popular you are. So it’s a little like a game to see how far and fast you can climb in the hierarchy. However, many bloggers believe that it is difficult to visit 300 sites a day because you will probably stop and visit around on some of the site you will interested. This community blog about everything and any topic you like.
To get started with Entrecard, you just need to sign up on Entrecard official website. Once your account is activated, click on the “Get Code” tab to copy the code for the specific widget you want to use on your blog. Paste that code into a widget on your blog and you’re ready to play.
