    Personally, I wouldn’t recommend blogger.I made the mistake with starting with blogger a couple of years ago. I would go with a free WordPress account, that way you have more control. Having said that, its all down to personal choice, but for businesses you should always place your blog on your website domain.

    Usually the beginner or newbie especially school girls and boys, student from colledges, universities will start their blogging world using blogger.com because of some reasons. 3 obvious reasons:
    1. it’s free (no need to pay for hosting cost and domain registration fee)
    2. easy setup
    3. widget placement (especially google adsense).

    Maybe free platform is a way to “warm up” before go to next stage for self hosted domain such as wordpress.org, movable type or other blogging platform listed in in http://thebloggertips.com/15-common-blogging-platform-using-by-bloggers/
