Desktop Blog Post Offline and Web-based Editor

Yesterday we discussed about Write To My Blog web-based blog editor , today we are going to familiarize other blog post editors and there are many blog post editor provided as free on the net, here is the list for your view:-

 

1. Windows Live Writer
Windows Live Writer is a product of Microsoft and widely used for desktop blogging software. It has lots of features such as multiple blog accounts, multiple blog platforms, rich text formatting, draft saving, post categorization, picture and tag insertion, spell checking etc.

 

2. Post To Blog
Post2Blog is a freeware blog post editor with live spell-checking support for all the bloggers.

 

3. ScribeFire (scribefire.com)
ScribeFire is a full-featured blog editor that integrates with your browser and lets you easily post to your blog. You can drag and drop formatted text from pages you are browsing, take notes, and post to your blog.

 

4. Qumana
Qumana is an easy to use desktop blog post editor. It enabling you to write, edit and post to one or more blogs. Qumana features include easy text formatting and image insertion, simple Technorati tagging, and advertising insertion.

 

5. Blog Desk
Blog desk is a good desktop free software for blogging with WYSIWYG editor. Images can be directly inserted and are automatically uploaded. The publishing simultaneously to multiple blogs is a matter of a click.

The Zoundry blog post writer is a full featured editor that makes posting to your blog easier and faster. It’s an easy to use word processor and include simple tools to add links, tags, photos, music and video files, and more. Zoundry has a fully featured WYSIWYG editor as well.

Bleezer is another powerful desktop client which provide lots of features. It has WYSIWYG editor, image upload, category and tag support and also in build spell checker. Apart from all these Bleezer supports Windows, Mac and Linux Operating systems as well.

 

8. W.Bloggar
W.Bloggar is a free editor which supports multiple blogging platforms with features such as spell checker, tags, categories, image upload and much more. The difference between W.Bloggar and other editors is that it features an HTML editor and it may be sometimes difficult to compose posts in HTML editor. It also pings your posts to weblogs and other ping services.

Flock is a social web browser based on Firefox. It lets you easily post anything on your blog with its Blog post editor.

 

10. BlogMate
BlogMate is a free and graphical plug-in for the popular TextMate editor that enables creating and editing blog posts for MetaWeblog-enabled blogs, Twitter, and Jaiku accounts from a floating palette within TextMate.

 

11. Thingamablog
Thingamablog is a cross-platform, standalone blogging application that publishing your weblogs almost effortless. Thingamablog does not require a third-party blogging host, a CGI/PHP enabled web host, or a MySQL database. In fact, all you need to setup, and manage, a blog with Thingamablog is FTP, SFTP, or network access to a web server.

 

12. Xinha Here
Xinha Here is a Firefox extension wrapper for the Xinha HTML editor. It enables WYSIWYG editing in any textarea and text box on any website. Xinha Here! opens a Xinha HTML editor in your browser allowing you to edit the data in a WYSIWYG on any website without copying and pasting to secondary HTML editor.

 

13. AIRPress
AIRPress is a rich blog editor based on AIR technology. You could easily upload media including images, videos, mp3, etc without another software or hosting.

 

14. Webpad
Webpad is a web based text editor which gives you access to files from your computer, webpad installed server, FTP server, Website and other blogging tools such as Blogger.com, MovableType, TypePad, LiveJournal, blosxom & WordPress.
