The Blogger Tips

1.      Blog – To enter a post or To maintain text, links, images or other content, often using blogging software. Other meaning you can refer to “Blog Definition”

2.      Blogger – A writer of blog or a person who writes and post a blog.

3.      Blogging – Blog action or the behavior to blog

4.      Blogroll - A list of blogs that usually visit by the bloggers

5.      Blogspot - Hosting service for Blogger.com which owned by Google

6.      Comment – The feedback or response posted to the end of post by visitors.

7.      Del.icio.us - The social bookmarking site where users can collectively tag favorite links.

8.      Opt in - join the mailing list to require companies engaged in telemarketing to update their lists regularly in the light of subscribers’ notifications.

9.      Opt out – request to remove from subscription list

10.  Permalink - The unique URL of a single post on a blog, used when anyone wants to link specifically to a post rather than to the most recently updated page of a blog.

11.  Ping - Alert in the TrackBack system that notifies the original poster of a blog post when someone else writes an entry concerning the original post.

12.  Post - An entry written and published to a blog.

13.  RSS - Really Simple Syndication. A method of describing news or other Web content that is available for “feeding” (distribution or syndication) from an online publisher to Web users.

14.  RSS Feed - The file that contains the latest updates to an RSS-equipped page.

15.  Reciprocal Link - When one blogger exchanges links on its blogroll with another blogger’s blogroll.

16.  Site Admin – Log-in to Blog website administration

17.  Sidebar - One or more columns generally found on the side of most blogs, usually containing a profile of the blogger, blogroll, advertising, Flickr feeds or other plug-ins.

18.  Tag - A generic term for a language element descriptor, often used in blogs to identify the type or types of content that makes up a particular post.

19.  Thread - A series of posts on a specific topic.

20.  Trackback - A protocol that allows a blogger to link to post, often on other blogs, that relate to a selected subject.
